Research Forum Reviewal Panel & Keynote Speaker

For your information, Professor Dr. Mohd. Zulkifly b. Abdullah, Dr. Farzad Ismail, Dr. Ahmad Zulfaa Mohamed Kassim and Dr. Elmi bin Abu Bakar will join our research forum reviewal panel. We are also pleased to announce that Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib who is the acting Head of Aerospace Industry Intelligence Division, Malaysia Industry Government for High Technology (MIGHT) will be the keynote speaker for our research forum.

Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib will be giving a talk on "Malaysian Aerospace Industry: Opportunities and Challenges".

All students are welcomed to joined this research forum and be part of this valuable experience.

Aerofest 2015, Meet, Compete, Experience.

Registration Deadline Extended

The due date of phase 1 competition registration process has been extended until 25/9/2015 due to the requests of most of the universities. Please do keep in touch with us to get the latest Aerofest news.

Aerofest

Aerofest 2015 is an inter-universities event organized by Aerospace Engineering Society, School of Aerospace Engineering, University Sains Malaysia (USM). It is the platform at which we aim involve participation from other universities that offer similar sounding courses to aerospace engineering (UTM, UPM, UiAM, UTHM and UniKL). We wish to provide the chance for the students to apply knowledge that we have learned in classes. Apply it, use it and understand it. As true learning process only begin when we start to understand. But how we going to share and apply those knowledge? A talk? Another lecture session? Of course not! We will do it in a more interesting way which is through competitions. Aerofest 2015 will held a total of 3 competitions in which 2 under the category of  Aeronautic and 1 under the category of Astronautic from 20th to 22nd November 2015. 

For the category Aeronautic, there will be:

·        Glider Challenge

·        Quadcopter Challenge

For the category Astronautic:

·        Can-Satellite Competition

There will be a research forum in conjunction with the Aerofest 2015 for the lecturers and postgraduates to share their research’s interests with lecturers from other universities.

Despite the number of competition, winning is always secondary. The main purpose of Aerofest 2015 is to share our aerospace-related knowledge and to connect all other Aerospace/Aeronautical field students and lecturers in Malaysia.
